Simplify Me

Some days send hours like bullies
Tough as the rough,
Standing tall
I won’t back down
Enough is enough

The night rushes upon me
All I could have done is all I see
How the minutes tick dizzily
Breaking through what is left of me

Scared emotionally
I’m just a woman can’t you see?
Plug me into rest
Like a rechargeable power
Tomorrow will be a full battery

Tonight—simplify me
Lay me into fragile
Like silky folds
Unravel me softly

  1. We like our days to be managed by us, don't we? Crisp and quite apt.

    Joy always,

  2. Bully hours? Too many in one day. I hope yours are less bully and more fruitful. Now, excuse me while I go beat up this day. Only 7 hours left to fend off.
